[PROMO] Review and get a free coupon!

Ever heard the saying ‘Tis better to give than to receive’? Well we at Otome’s Way don’t see why you can’t have both! That’s why for the next two weeks, we’ll be offering a 25%-off coupon to anyone who reviews a piece on our webshop! Sound intriguing? We hope so!

  • 25% coupon (limit 1 use per user) off entire purchase order in exchange for a review of a product.
  • Review must be at least 50 words long and in English. There is no word limit.
  • Reviews do not have to be wholly positive, but critiques are requested to be as constructive as possible to help other potential customers decide if a book is for them.
  • Reviews MAY be posted off-site, but must also be posted in the Review tab of the product page as well.
  • This campaign will run until July 7th, so get those reviews in ASAP!

Ready to submit your review? It’s easy!

  1. Head on over to our official webshop.
  2. Browse our products to find the work you’d like to review; anything goes, from our educational materials to our BL manga to our novel–whatever you like! (it goes without saying that you must have of course purchased the product already to make an informed review, except for Don’t Call Me a Demon, which was available for free on our novel reader).
  3. Click the “Reviews” tab and fill out the appropriate headings; your name and e-mail are both required, but only your name will be shown. We’ll use your e-mail address to deliver your coupon, so please be sure to input it correctly!
  4. Sit back, relax, and wait for your coupon to be delivered!

The coupons may be used on any product or products in the store–so purchase as little or as much as you like with your coupon! If you have any questions, we’ll be happy to field them either in the comments section of this post or via our contact form. Happy reviewing!

Ready to learn more Japanese with Alexis and Shou?

It’s getting closer…! By the end of the month, you’ll be able to plop down some funds for the next volume in our great textbook series, A Fujoshi’s Guide to Japanese. If you’re not familiar with the series, this textbook teaches you Japanese—starting from the basics and increasing in difficulty as the volumes go on—using real-world examples from native speakers, all beautifully illustrated with, well, things that appeal to fujoshi. Look for a release date at the end of May, and get ready for some more adventures in the world of Shou and Alexis! We’ll be back with a full run-down of the contents as our release date approaches, so you can determine if this is an appropriate level textbook for you!

Spring BLowout

Toss out those snow shoes (or get ready to put them on, if you’re Down Under!) and break out your wallet…or Paypal account! Because it’s time for our Otome’s Way Spring BLowout!

This is no April Fool’s prank (we’ve still got another hour before that here in Japan ;)) — we’re bringing you THREE new pieces from our talented authors, and you definitely won’t want to miss these!

Uragoi (Buried Love) – This first piece from Yuzuyu-sensei (responsible for our cute freebie webcomic So What if I Misunderstood?!) combines her cute art style with a dark tale of high school love. Will popular kid Tomoka draw hikikomori Ringo, who rarely attends school from fear of bullying, out of his shell? What about class president Madoka who has also taken an interest in Ringo, although his may not be entirely innocent? Yuzuyu-sensei’s new work Uragoi: Buried Love combines her adorable art style with themes of geekiness, bullying, dark secrets, love confessions, and betrayals. Please be sure to check out the warnings!

Price: $8 monolingual (Eng/Jpn), $12 bilingual set (this one’s a little more expensive than usual because it’s all in gorgeous full color! Go check out the preview pages!)
Formats: PDF, CBZ
Rating: R18

Hazy Serpent – This new piece (a double anthology including the title story as well as the WW2 piece When You Smell the Olive Trees) from Amamiya-sensei revolves around a pair of ninjas! Aoi and Youjirou are always assigned together, never to stray from their combined missions. But with Aoi’s frequent and secretive disappearances, Youjirou can’t help but fear for their current relationship…

Price: $5 monolingual (Eng/Jpn), $7 bilingual set
Formats: PDF, CBZ

Don’t Call Me a Demon – You’ve been waiting a while for this, and here it is! This first volume of the novel has been available for free to read so far—but now we’ve compiled it into an easy-to-read format and included a purchase-only new short chapter for you to dive into! Don’t miss this purchase—and get ready for the start of Volume 2 soon!
